P8-M marijuana plants burned in Benguet raid

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency uprooted P8 million worth of marijuana plants during separate raids in Sitios Nakneng and Balisawsaw in Barangay Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet over the weekend. 

Cordillera police director Chief Superintendent Isagani Nerez said 33,700 fully grown plants, 1,400 seedlings and 10 kilograms of dried stalks were burned.
