MANILA, Philippines - A mild earthquake shook parts of Misamis Oriental Wednesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported yesterday.
The magnitude-3.4 quake occurred at 11:50 p.m. with its epicenter located two kilometers southwest of Villanueva town.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in Villanueva, Tagoloan and Balingasag, all in Misamis Oriental, and Cagayan de Oro City; and Intensity 2 in El Salvador City, also in Misamis Oriental.
The quake was not expected to generate aftershocks.
