7,850 fire, foreign service officers take CSC exams
MANILA, Philippines - Some 7,850 examinees took the fire officer examination (FOE) and the career service examination for foreign service officer (CSE-FSO) yesterday in several testing centers nationwide.
Of the number, 7,443 took the FOE, which is open to Bureau of Fire Protection officers, who have yet to acquire second level eligibility, and non-BFP employees.
The rest of the examinees took the CSE-FSO, a qualifying examination for further tests to be given by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
FOE passers will be conferred the fire officer eligibility, a second level eligibility specific and appropriate only to second level ranks in the fire protection service and other related positions, except for ranks under the Philippine National Police.
The CSE-FSO serves both as a qualifying test and an eligibility examination. As a qualifying test, it’s the first of the five-part FSO examination given by the DFA.
The other parts are the preliminary interview and written, psychological and oral tests.
As an eligibility examination, passers of the CSE-FSO will be conferred the career foreign service officer eligibility.
