P329.8-M ARMM deals for infra projects signed
COTABATO CITY, Philippines – The contracts for P329.8 million worth of infrastructure projects in Basilan and Sulu were signed in Zamboanga City on Thursday.
Gov. Mujiv Hataman of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, ARMM Public Works Secretary Don Mustapha Loong and representatives of the companies with the lowest bid signed the contracts.
The projects include the expansion of the seaports in Lamitan City and Jolo town worth P194 million and concreting of roads in Basilan worth P135.8 million.
The road projects include a P38.8-million Tipo-Tipo-Sangkuyut road, P27.1-million Sangkuyut-Bohe Suyat road, P11.6-million Materling-Tong Bato road and a P58.2-million Amaloy-Matata-Bucalao road, all in Ungkaya Pukan town in Basilan.
Hataman assured the public that all financial documents pertaining to the projects are open to scrutiny.
Loong said funding for the projects would be drawn from the ARRM’s 2015 infrastructure subsidy.
