Ding Cervantes - The Philippine Star

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines  – A three-hectare marijuana plantation was discovered by a team of police officers in Capas, Tarlac over the weekend.

The officers walked for eight hours until they discovered the plantation in the mountainous village of Bueno, located some 30 kilometers from the town proper.

Reports said a concerned citizen informed the local police about the plantation in Sitio Kabatuan.

The officers found four full-grown marijuana plants as well as some seedlings in the area.

The team found out that at least 100 of such plants had already been uprooted or harvested.

Police identified the farm owner as Buenaventura Guerrero, 66, who yielded two homemade shotguns following a search on his hut.
