Business partner eyed in dancer’s slay

MANILA, Philippines - The task group investigating the murder of a member of the dance group Masculados Dos is eyeing disputes over a networking business as the motive for the killing.

Marcelo Ong, 30, reportedly failed to return a large sum of money he owed his business partner, probers said.

The amount was reportedly used as “show money” for their business.

“We got this information from a member of the Ong family. We are following up these leads,” a task group member, who refused to be identified, said.

Rizal police director Senior Superintendent Bernabe Balba said they are working on all angles to solve the crime that occurred last Sunday in Angono town.

He said they would determine the route that Ong took on the day he was killed.

Balba said they would check reports that the victim’s car was found abandoned in Bicol.
