Comelec conducts biometric registration in Pangasinan malls

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) started yesterday the satellite registration and validation of voters at various malls in Pangasinan.

“This does not cover only the remaining 104,000 old voters who have not yet undergone biometric registration, but also new voters, transfer of registration and correction of entries,” Marino Salas, provincial election supervisor, said.

The registration at Robinsons Place in Calasiao; SM City in Rosales; CSI Market Square in the cities of Dagupan, Alaminos, Urdaneta and San Carlos and in the towns of Bayambang, Lingayen, Malasiqui, Pozorrubio, Mangaldan and Rosales will be held until Aug. 14.

Biometric registration is also being conducted at Comelec offices, schools, markets and barangay offices in the province. – Eva Visperas, Cesar Ramirez
