Suspension of 11 Ceres buses lifted

Danny B. Dangcalan - The Philippine Star

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) lifted Friday the suspension order it imposed on 11 buses of the Ceres Liner.

Even if the 30-day suspension had not yet lapsed, LTFRB Western Visayas regional director Romulo Bernardes lifted the order as the Vallacar Transit, operator of Ceres Liner buses, complied with all the requirements.

The license plates of suspended buses that were previously surrendered to the LTFRB were returned to the bus company, Bernardes said.

About 700 drivers of the Vallacar Transit are undergoing a seminar on safe driving with the LTFRB and the Land Transportation Office (LTO). The refresher course, which started last Wednesday, will run until September.

Bernardes said the seminar is among the requirements set by the LTFRB.
