ROSARIO, La Union, Philippines – A 26-year-old teacher was gunned down in Barangay Nagtagaan here Thursday night.
Conrado Casison Jr., a resident of Barangay Fernando and teacher at the Sto. Tomas National High School, was in a tricycle on his way home when unidentified gunmen shot him at close range, said Senior Inspector Roy Villanueva, Rosario deputy police chief.
The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center in San Fernando City.
A manhunt for the assailants, who according to witnesses fled in a red car, is underway.
