Quake rocks Visayas
MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-4.9 earthquake rocked parts of the Visayas yesterday morning.
The quake's epicenter was located 12 kilometers southeast of Buenavista town in Bohol, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
It was felt at Intensity 5 in San Miguel and Sagbayan towns in Bohol, and in the cities of Mandaue and Cebu.
The quake was felt at Intensity 4 in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, and in the towns of Carmen, Batuan, Buenavista, Catigbian, Clarin, Danao, Inabanga, Trinidad and Tubigon, all in Bohol.
Intensity 3 was felt in Alicia, Bohol; Bacolod City; Bogo City in Cebu; Iloilo City; Tagbilaran City; Talisay City in Cebu, and Dumaguete City and Sibulan in Negros Oriental.
The quake was felt at Intensity 2 in Argao in Cebu and Danao City, and Intensity 1 in President Roxas in Capiz and San Francisco on Camotes Island.
