Meanwhile, five towns in Aurora province will also experience power outage on March 31.
The blackout in Pangsinan will pave the way for the annual preventive maintenance and testing of a 100-megavolt power transformer in Labrador substation, and in the Labrador-Calasiao and Labrador-Bolinao power lines.
The power interruption will affect the towns of Anda, Agno, Bani, Bolinao, Burgos, Calasiao, Dasol, Infanta, Labrador, Mabini, Sta. Barbara and Sual, and the cities of Alaminos and Dagupan.
In Aurora, areas served by the Aurora Electric Co. (Aurelco) will have no power from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Ernest Lorenz Vidal, public affairs officer of the NGCP.
Among the towns to be affected are Dingalan, San Luis, Maria Aurora, Baler and Dipaculao.
The outage will pave the way for the replacement of electric posts along the Bongabon-Baler power line segment.– Eva Visperas, Ding Cervantes
