2 men found dead in Batangas, Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Philippines – Two men were found dead in  Batangas and Cavite on Monday, according to a police report.

The body of a man said to be around 40 years old was found stuffed in a rice sack in a vacant lot in Barangay Calansanayan, San Jose, Batangas by Freddie Abrencillo and his brother Meynard at 7:40 a.m., Chief Inspector Oliver Ebora, San Jose police chief, said.

The body bore strangulation marks and a stab wound in the abdomen.

In Cavite, a cadaver was found stuffed in a drum along the road in Barangay Salawag, Dasmariñas City, around 6 a.m.

The body had gunshot wounds in the head and body and hack wounds in the knee.

Superintendent Hermogenes Cabe, city police chief, said an investigation is underway.
