Power outages to hit Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines  – A 10-hour power interruption will affect nine municipalities and a city in Pangasinan tomorrow, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) announced yesterday.

The scheduled shutdown of some of NGCP’s transmission facilities from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. will affect areas served by the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative Inc. (Cenpelco).

Among these areas are Malasiqui, San Carlos City, Binmaley, Lingayen, Bugallon, Aguilar, Mangatarem, Ur-biztondo and parts of Basista.

On Thursday, another three-hour blackout will affect some areas served by Cenpelco and all areas covered by the Pangasinan I Electric Cooperative Inc.

The power outage will start from 6 a.m. to 9. a.m. and will affect the towns of Labrador, Sual, Alaminos, Mabini, Burgos, Dasol, Infanta, Agno, Bani, Anda and Bolinao.
