2 government employees arrested in Leyte, Davao drug stings
MANILA, Philippines - Two government employees were arrested in drug stings in Leyte and Davao City on Sunday, an official said yesterday.
Osman Gamohay, 32, a construction worker of the Department of Public Works and Highways in Purok 2, Mahayahay, Maasin City, Leyte was nabbed around 6 p.m. on Sunday for selling a sachet of shabu with an estimated street value of P1, 000 to an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, said PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac, Jr.
Gamohay was detained in a jail facility in the city.
Marlon Sasil Bactol, 37, an employee of the Philippine Health Insurance Corp. and a resident of Purok 18, Barangay 76-A in Bolton Isla, Davao City was arrested for selling a sachet of shabu to a PDEA agent along Quimpo Boulevard.
When frisked, Bactol yielded another sachet of shabu.
Bactol was detained in a PDEA detention cell in the city.
