TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A government prosecutor in Nueva Vizcaya was gunned down by suspected guns-for-hire at his house in Barangay Roxas in Solano town at 11:30 p.m. yesterday.
Samuel Dacayo was pronounced dead on arrival in a hospital, according to initial reports received by Chief Inspector Kevin Balayugan, Solano police chief.
Police said the victim, a cousin of Solano Mayor Philip Dacayo, was shot in the head.
An investigation into the killing is underway.
