P10-M shabu seized in Ozamiz raid
OZAMIZ City, Philippines – Authorities seized at least 1.5 kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P10 million in a raid on a lodging house here last Tuesday, police reported yesterday.
The shabu was contained in a bag found in Room 38 of the Country Lodge in Barangay Annex, said Superintendent Archival Diokno Macala, Misamis Occidental police director.
Macala said the raiding team failed to arrest the owner of the bag.
Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage at the lodging house showed a man in a white shirt and cap leaving the bag in one of the rooms.
Macala hailed the members of the city police special operations group for the recovery.
Last year, the city police intercepted a kilo of shabu with an estimated street value of P5 million sent through a courier company in Ozamiz City.
