Power outage to hit Ifugao, Vizcaya

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines  – This province and most parts of neighboring Ifugao in the Cordilleras will experience a 10-hour power interruption today due to repairs of power facilities, the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) said yesterday.

The power outage will affect the whole Nueva Vizcaya and the towns of Lamut, Lagawe, Hingyon, Banaue, Mayoyao, Hungduan, Tinoc, Asipulo and Kiangan, all in Ifugao, said Lilibeth Gaydowen, NGCP North Luzon public affairs officer.

Gaydowen said the power interruption, which will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., would pave the way for maintenance and testing of transformers and replacement of selected cables along the Bayombong-Lagawe 69-kiloVolt line.
