Man killed, 7 hurt in Batangas road mishaps

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A man died and seven others were injured in separate road accidents in Batangas yesterday morning, police said.

Domingo Amistosos Jr. died while his brother, Jovite, was injured when their tricycle (9169-QB) was hit by an Isuzu Elf van (CTT-388) driven by Roger Garcia along the road in Barangay Poblacion in San Pascual town at  5:35 a.m., according to Senior Inspector Manuel Maligaya, San Pascual police chief.

In Batangas City, a Mitsubishi L300 van (VEF-602) collided with a tractor (WJD-549) along Barangay Balagtas around 8 a.m.

The passengers of the van – Charles Telmo, Joseph Alano, Kyrie Asi, Mary Ann Sulit, Christopher Perez and Dominick Sena – were brought to the St. Camillus Hospital.

The truck driver, Randy Sena, claimed he lost control of the wheel.
