BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – Nineteen persons were injured when a passenger bus rear-ended a truck in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last Thursday.
Bus driver Florencio Alquiza was held at the city police station detention jail.
Investigation showed the Ceres bus developed engine trouble as it was traveling in Barangay Daga.
Alquiza lost control of the wheel, causing the bus to hit the rear of the truck parked along the road.
