Ed Amoroso - The Philippine Star

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – Three suspected drug traffickers were arrested in a sting that also resulted in the seizure of 43 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P300,000 in Batangas Sunday.

Jeffrey Apelado, Arnel Hilario and Jhonstill Zara were arrested in Lemery town based on a warrant issued by Judge Eleuterio Bathan, said Chief Inspector Gerry Laylo, town police chief.

Laylo said the police officers found two plastic sachets containing shabu at Apelado’s house in Barangay Maguihan.

He said Apelado and Zara were in the police watchlist of major drug traffickers.

Senior Superintendent Jireh Omega Fidel, Batangas police director, said they were verifying reports that Apelado’s group was involved in other criminal activities.
