MANILA, Philippines - An alleged member of an African drug syndicate and his Filipina girlfriend were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a sting in Pampanga last Friday.
Paul Omina, 33, and Merlyn Ates, 32, reportedly yielded 200 grams of shabu, estimated to have a street value of P700,000, said PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr.
Omina and Ates were arrested at a fastfood restaurant located along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in San Fernando City. They were held at the PDEA jail facility in Camp Olivas.
