One dead in daring shooting in Makati

MANILA, Philippines - Two men aboard a motorcycle shot dead a man riding a bicycle in Barangay Bangkal, Makati City Friday morning.

Makati police identified the victim as Reynaldo Reyes, 45, of 3902 Macabulos Street, Barangay Bangkal.

Initial investigation by the Makati Police showed that Reyes had just dropped-off his nine-year-old son at the Bangkal Elementary School and was heading home along Evangelista Street when the suspects appeared.

Without warning, one of the suspects drew out a pistol of still unknown caliber and shot the victim on the head at close range. The killing happened at about 6:30 a.m.

Makati Police homicide investigators are still establishing the motive for the victim’s killing as well as the identities of the suspects.
