Cet Dematera - The Philippine Star

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – The office of the Ako Bicol party-list group in Barangay Bonot here lost some P500,000 in cash to robbers Sunday, police reported yesterday.

Superintendent Alex Pederio, city police chief, said they needed to interview employees of the party-list group again after inconsistencies were noted in their initial testimonies.

Rosalieh Constante-Luces, the group’s political affairs officer, said the robbers broke in through a window near the stock room and proceeded to the accounting office where the money was kept.

She said the money was for the purchase of laptop computers as prizes for the Ten Outstanding Students of Bicol awarding on Feb. 20.
