MANILA, Philippines - Two mild earthquakes shook the provinces of Surigao before noon yesterday.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said a magnitude-4 quake occurred 28 kilometers southeast of General Luna town in Surigao del Norte at around 11:29 a.m.
The tremor was felt at Intensity 3 in Socorro town and Intensity 2 in General Luna.
The quake was followed by a magnitude-3.2 tremor some 10 kilometers west of Cortes town in Surigao del Sur at around 11:41 a.m.
No damage or aftershock was expected from the quakes.
