MANILA, Philippines - Rush hour traffic along the Ayala interchange crossing EDSA in Makati City was snarled by a burning bus on Wednesday afternoon.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said a burning Manrose bus with plate number UVB-618 was spotted by its Metrobase through closed circuit television cameras at 4:45 p.m.
The Metrobase said a team from the MMDA’s Road Emergency Group was deployed at the scene. Cars following the burning bus stopped as they waited for firefighters to arrive.No one was reported hurt in the fire, the MMDA Metrobase said in a tweet posted at 5:06 p.m.
