TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Police are looking into drugs and love triangle as the motives for the attack on a couple that left their child wounded in Bacnotan, La Union last week.
Town police chief Senior Inspector Fredilex Marron told The STAR that businesswoman Angelica Valdez has identified some persons believed responsible for the attack.
Police believe Valdez was the target of the gunmen. Her daughter, Princess Wenica Vien, remains in critical condition.
Valdez, her husband Wendell and their daughter were walking home when a gunman, whose face was covered with a bonnet, shot them.
