P’sinan vice mayor mugged

BALUNGAO, Pangasinan, Philippines – This town’s vice mayor lost at least P290,000 in cash to two motorcycle-riding men here Thursday.
Vice Mayor Minda Peralta was standing in front of a gasoline station in Barangay Pugaro when the robbers arrived on a motorcycle without license plates.
Reports said the robbers pulled out a caliber .38 revolver and took Peralta’s bag containing P200,000 and $2,000. Aside from cash, Peralta’s bag contained documents and mobile phones.
The robbers fled toward the nearby Rosales town.
