1 dead, 9 hurt in motorbike mishaps

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A man died and nine persons were injured in two separate accidents involving motorcycles in Pangasinan and Isabela on New Year’s Eve.

Noel Macaraeg, 20, died at the scene when his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle driven by Terry Banez in San Carlos City.

Banez and his companions Jerwin de Leon and Christopher Bustamante, and Roldan Ulanday and Jonalyn de Leon, who were on the motorcycle driven by Macaraeg, were injured and brought to a hospital.

In Barangay Villa Concepcion in Roxas town, Isabela, Mark Glenn Ramos; Luke Simon, 22; Rommel Salvador, 30; and Joseph Valdez, 23, were injured after the two motorcycles they were riding collided.
