MANILA, Philippines — Ten by were injured by firecracker blasts on Thursday night, Christmas Eve, in Cagayan de Oro City.
A radio report said seven of the victims, who sustained injuries from piccolo explosions, were rushed to the J.R Borja Memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, the three other victims of piccolo blasts were rushed to Northern Mindanao Medical Center.
Authorities said that days leading toward Christmas in northern Mindanao were generally peaceful despite the number of reported firecracker-related injuries.
