2 drug suspects charged for P1-M shabu

SULTAN KUDARAT, Philippines – Charges were filed on Friday against two suspected drug dealers caught with P1 million worth of shabu in Esperanza town here.

Mohamad Fahad Malik and Zainan Abedin Ali, both of Marawi City in Lanao del Sur, are detained at the provincial jail, said Senior Inspector Esbon Llamanzares, town police chief.

Malik and Ali were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly selling shabu estimated to be worth P1 million to a police informant in Barangay Villamor.

One of the suspects was found to possess an unlicensed caliber .45 pistol when he was frisked by police officers.

The suspects reportedly admitted to be engaged in drug pushing in Lanao del Sur and in Maguindanao, both in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, and several towns in Sultan Kudarat and in Tacurong City.
