Old German national nabbed for theft in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY - A 60-year-old German national wanted for theft has been arrested by local policemen in Labason, Zamboanga del Norte on Friday.

Inspector Alexie Palisoc, deputy chief of police of Labason Municipal Police Station, identified the suspect as Poker Haugk, a widower and temporarily residing in Barangay Bubungan.

Palisoc said Haugk was arrested about 12:30 p.m. by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Oscar Tomarong of Regioal Trial Court (RTC), 9th judicial region Branch 28 for qualified theft.

The police did not immediately elaborate details on Haugk's case.

The authorities said the local court has recommended a P20,000 bail for the German national.
