TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Charges of murder and frustrated murder were filed with the Department of Justice against a policeman from Isabela for the killing of a salesman and wounding of his companion in an ambush in San Mariano town on Nov. 13.
Isabela police chief investigator Superintendent Rodrigo Soriano said witnesses identified Police Officer 3 Elcor Jose as the gunman in the attack that killed Bernardo Transmonte, 40, and wounded Jose Bunao, 52.
Investigation showed that the victims, both residents of Mangaldan, Pangasinan, were on a motorcycle collecting payments for the floor wax that Bunao had sold when Jose fired at them.
