CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga, Philippines – A nine-hour blackout will hit 13 towns in Tarlac and two in Nueva Ecija tomorrow, the National Grid Corp. of the Philipines announced yesterday.
The NGCP said the towns of San Manuel, Moncada, Paniqui, Anao, Gerona, Ramos, Pura, Sta. Ignacia, Victoria, San Clemente, Mayantoc, Camiling and San Jose, which are served by the Tarlac Electric Cooperative 1 (Tarelco 1), would have no power from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The firm said the outage would pave the way for the repair of the feeder protection of Tarelco 1’s breaker at the Concepcion sub-station.
The power interruption will also affect Nampicuan and Cuyapo towns, both in Nueva Ecija.
Tarlac City will have no power from 8 a.m. to noon.
“Normal operations will resume after work completion. The public is advised to prepare for the power interruption,” the power firm said.
