MANILA, Philippines - A magnitude-2.6 earthquake shook Bohol yesterday but no damage or injury was reported, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor occurred at 8:19 a.m. and was located some three kilometers northwest of Catigbian town.
It was felt at Intensity 3 in San Isidro town.
Phivolcs describes an Intensity 3 quake as weak and is felt indoors, particularly on the upper floors of buildings.
No damage or aftershocks were expected from the quake.
In October last year, a magnitude-7.2 quake jolted Bohol and other parts of the Central Visayas, leaving more than 200 people dead.
