Rob gang leader falls in Caloocan City
MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested a suspected leader of a gun-for-hire and robbery syndicate during an operation in Caloocan City on Monday afternoon.
CIDG chief Director Benjamin Magalong said that operatives with personnel from the Northern Police District collared Rolando Edio, head of the Lando gun-for-hire and robbery group, in Sawata, C3, Barangay 28, Caloocan City around 2:30 p.m.
Magalong said that Edio's arrest stemmed from an intelligence report that the suspect's group will stage a robber in the area.
Edio yielded a hand grenade, a .45 caliber pistol and a magazine loaded with ammunition, Magalong added.
Magalong said that Edio is listed in the National Capital Region Special Task Group Pivot Priority Target.
