2 women arrested in shabu buy-bust
MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two suspected drug pushers during a sting operation in Naga City and seized P1.5 million worth of shabu.
PDEA identified the suspects as Gemma Brojan, 32, of Zone 7, Magsaysay, Tonambac, Camarines Sur; and Aileen Piamonte, 35, of Purok 2, Barangay 8, Daet, Camarines Norte.
Agents of PDEA Regional Office 5 conducted a buy-bust operation at BCDC Road, Triangulo, Naga City which led to the arrest of Brojan and Piamonte, after selling a sachet containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 300 grams in exchange for the P1000 marked money around 11 a.m. last November 21.
Brojan and Piamonte are temporarily detained at the PDEA Camarines Sur Provincial Office, while a case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is now being filed in court against them.
