Charges filed vs 6 carjack suspects

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Charges were filed over the weekend against six suspected carjackers after three of them were caught repainting a stolen bus in Capas, Tarlac.

Charged before the Tarlac prosecutor’s office were Rolando Feliciano, Eleuterio Matias, Agapito Concepcion, Cristina Timan, Ralph Dizon and Marlon Gonzales, said Tarlac police director Senior Superintendent Alex Sintin.

Matias, Feliciano and Concepcion were caught repainting the bus in Barangay Estrada in Capas last week. They were arrested after they failed to show proof of ownership of the vehicle.

Dizon was arrested in a follow-up operation in Sapang Palay, Bulacan. Police have yet to arrest Timan and Gonzales.

The charges stemmed from a complaint filed by Allan Pangsanhan and his wife Abigail, owners of Mayamy Bus Corp.

The complainants told officers of the Capas police station that their bus (TXU-500) was stolen while parked in San Jose del Monte City, Bulacan early last week.

They said a concerned citizen informed them through telephone that the bus was spotted in Barangay Estrada in Capas.

Police raided Feliciano’s compound in Barangay Estrada and recovered five buses, an air cleaner, three propellers and 14 clip-type windows.
