PDEA nets 11 in Ormoc drug den raid

MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested 11 persons in Ormoc City during a raid in a suspected drug den, seizing around P1.6 million worth of shabu.

Initial reports said that PDEA agents collared the suspects, including  a69-year-old man and three minors, during the illegal drugs operations in Barangay Tambulilid, Ormoc City.

Aside from 18 small and large plastic sachets where the suspected shabu were placed, authorities also seized P4,576 cash, a digital weighing scale, and materials used to repack the drugs.  

During questioning, the suspects admitted to the anti-narcotics agents that they are drug users.

The operator of the drug den and some of the persons who were having a pot session during the raid managed to escape.

The arrested individuals will be facing illegal drug raps.
