Lone gunman kills 2 in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines - A lone gunman shot and killed two persons in Quezon City, Wednesday afternoon.

Initial police reports said that the unidentified gunman, who posed as a customer, went inside the Salon de Luxe along Quirino Highway and shot Brioso.

Police said Brioso was only dropping by the salon.

The gunman then fled, boarded a passenger bus and then took its driver's uniform. The gunmen then tried to board a taxicab, but its driver, Norberto Espiritu, locked the vehicle's doors.

Irked at Espiritu, the gunman fired at the taxi driver several times before getting on another passenger bus.

The taxi driver died while being treated at the San Lorenzo Hospital.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the identity of the gunman.
