QC fire renders 100 families homeless

MANILA, Philippines - Around 100 families were rendered homeless on Monday after fire gutted 60 homes in a residential area in Quezon City.
Initial reports said the blaze started around 7 a.m. inside the house of a certain Mildred Sanchez on Kapiligan Street, Barangay Dona Imelda.
Firefighters managed to put out the flames, reportedly caused by an unattended lit candle, at around 9 a.m.Arson investigators said no one was hurt during the blaze, which destroyed around P500,000 worth of property.
Reports said that a resident, 53-year-old Carlito Ande, fainted after his blood pressure shot up.
