6 dead, 4 hurt in Camarines road mishaps
LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – Six people were killed in two separate road accidents in the past two days in Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte, reports reaching Camp General Simeon Ola here yesterday showed.
Inspector Malou Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, identified the fatalities in the accident in Camarines Norte as Mathew Abiel de Leon, 14, Jhed Rayven Malubay, 12, and Jack Dacuba, all residents of Camarines Norte, and Ryza Antonette Azenza, a resident of Quezon City.
Chief Inspector Domingo Sario said Malubay and De Leon were grandsons of Sangguaniang Panlalawigan board member Teresita Malubay.
Calubaquib said the driver of a Toyota Hi-Lux the victims were riding lost control of the wheel and hit an acacia tree in Barangay Sto. Domingo in Vinzons town at past midnight yesterday.
She said the victims were rushed to the Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital.
The injured were identified as Kevin Balmeo Villamonte of Happy Homes in Daet and Rosalyn Tuason of San Jose.
In Camarines Sur, two persons were pronounced dead on arrival at the Partido District Hospital after the car they were riding rammed a concrete fence in Barangay Danlog in San Jose town at around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
The fatalities were identified as Abelardo Bolaon and Shiela Competente.
Those injured were Riza Paa and Eddie Boy Plaza of Barangay Pugay, San Jose, who are confined at the Bicol Medical Center in Naga City. – With Francis Elevado
