P7-M marijuana seized in Ilocos Sur

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Marijuana plants, dried leaves and seeds with a street value of over P7 million were seized and destroyed by a team of police officers and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel following a raid on a plantation in Sugpon, Ilocos Sur on Thursday.

PDEA provincial director Dexter Legaspi said among those seized were 30.5 kilos of dried marijuana leaves worth over P 1 million.    

The operatives did not find the owner or caretaker of the plantation, located in Barangay Livcungan.
