MANILA, Philippines - Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) apprehended two men after yielding P500,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City, Cavite.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspects as Mangigen Salem, 47, a resident of Barangay Nabalauag, Barira, Maguindanao; and Judy Nasa, 39, a taxi driver, of No. 59 Malaya Street, Malanday, Marikina City.
Cacdac said the suspects were arrested by PDEA operatives during a buy-bust operation in a gasoline station along General Emilio Aguinaldo highway in Bacoor City on Thursday.
The suspects yielded at least 250 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P500,000.
Also seized from the suspects were a Toyota sedan (XNT-305) and two P500 marked bills used as buy-bust money.
Salem and Nasa will be charged with violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), in relation to Section 26 (Conspiracy to Sell), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
