MANILA, Philippines - The remains of transgender Jeffrey "Jennifer" Laude will be laid to rest this afternoon in a cemetery in Olongapo City.
Family and friends of Laude, including German Marc Sueselbeck, will attend a necrological service around 2 p.m. at the Columban Church in West Pinlac, Olongapo City.
After the service, Laude's remains will be laid to rest following a three-kilometer march to the Heritage Memorial Park.
Laude was allegedly killed by US Marine Pfc. Joseph Scott Pemberton inside a motel in Subic, Zambales.
Pemberton has been taken into custody at a facility inside the Armed Forces of the Philippine headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo pending the preliminary investigation by the Olongapo City Prosecutor's Office on the case.
