MANILA, Philippines — Police have identified the alleged robber who took the money and goods of the young pandesal vendor featured in a viral video last week.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been disclosed, was spotted through a closed circuit television (CCTV) footage taken from nearby commercial establishments where the incident occurred, radio reports say.
The vendor, a fifth grader from Deparo, Caloocan, is seen crying and shaking after he was threatened to give up his P200 earnings and bread rolls by an unidentified man.
The boy positively identified the suspect when cops showed him the footage, reports also said.
The Caloocan police is confident that the suspect will soon be apprehended for the crime as the case is being built.
The video has been shared almost 20,000 times on the social network, as netizens condemned crimes against the less fortunate.
