Drunk soldier kills 2 colleagues

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Two Army sergeants were shot dead by their colleague while another was wounded during a quarrel at a military camp in Gamu town, Isabela Tuesday night.

T/Sgt. Aldrin Bangug and Sgt. Randy Bucu died at the scene while a bullet grazed the nape of T/Sgt. Leonardo Millares after S/Sgt. Antonio Bermudez allegedly shot them, said Senior Inspector Calixto Labang, town police chief.

Reports said the soldiers were having drinks in the Army’s 5th Infantry Division headquarters at Camp Melchor dela Cruz when Bermudez, who was drunk, allegedly berated Bucu for eating all their food.

Bermudez reportedly shot Bucu and Bangug while Millares tried to stop him, but he too was shot.
