P3M worth of shabu seized in Iloilo - report

Dennis Carcamo - The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines - Anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested two women in Iloilo City Tuesday night during a buy-bust operation and seized over P3 million worth of illegal drugs.

Reports said that Analyn Cabrobias and Ana Rocel Pareño, both of San Jose, Antique, yielded more than half a kilo of suspected shabu during the operation.

Initial investigation showed that an undercover PDEA agent managed to buy a gram of shabu from Cabrobias worth P1,500 inside the Queen's Court Drive Inn Motel in Barangay Bolilao Mandurriao around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Pareno entered the motel, carrying a brown paper bag which contained the rest of the illegal drugs, reports added.

The PDEA said that the drugs allegedly came all the way from Muntinlupa City and transported to Antique by a drug courier via RORO ship.

The two women are now facing illegal drug raps.
