Son electrocutes mother

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines – A man was arrested for allegedly killing his mother after she refused to give him money to buy liquor in Midsayap town yesterday.

Jobert Sinoy, 24, reportedly attached an electric wire to a metal clothesline, which his mother Susan, 49, was using, and plugged it into a power outlet, said Superintendent Reynaldo delos Santos, town police chief.

Susan died while being rushed to a hospital by neighbors.

Sinoy did not resist arrest when police officers arrived at their house in Barangay Central Bulanan a day after the killing.

Relatives and neighbors said the suspect was an alcoholic and a drug addict.
