MANILA, Philippines - Authorities killed three suspected notorious drug pushers while two others were arrested during a raid on an alleged safe house in Zambales, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said Friday.

PDEA said Jun-Jun Jackaria and his two unidentified companions were killed during a firefight with its operatives backed up by the police.

Meanwhile, anti-narcotics agents nabbed Jessica Taralus, 41;and Abdul Abdurasid; both residents of Brgy 6-B, Brgy.Calapacuan, Zambales.

Belated reports reaching the PDEA main office in Quezon City showed that a combined team of PDEA operatives and policemen raided the lair of the suspects last September 30.

Jackaria and two of his accomplices immediately fired on and threw a grenade at the approaching lawmen, who retaliated and killed the three.

Taralus and Abdurasid are notorious drug dealers in the province of Zambales. Both suspects are facing multiple warrants of arrest, PDEA said.

Confiscated from the suspects were 14 sachets of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, a .45 caliber pistol, a .22 caliber pistol, a .38 caliber revolver, an air rifle, and various ammunition.

Taralus and Abdurasid will face illegal gun and drug raps.
