MMDA: Reblocking this weekend, expect heavy traffic

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Thursday announced that several road repairs and reblocking in various areas in Quezon City, Pasig City, and Mandaluyong City are scheduled this coming weekend.
The MMDA said that starting 10 p.m. Friday, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake road reblocking and repairs in the following areas:
Southbound:
- Along Araneta Avenue from Calamba Street to Quezon Avenue, 2nd lane
- Along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue / C5 between Mercury Avenue and Richmond Avenue, 2nd lane
- Along EDSA between Connecticut to Libertad, Mandaluyong City
- Along C5 Road from CJ Caparas Street to Lanuza Street, outer most lane
- Along Mindanao Avenue from Old Sauyo Road to Rosal Street, 3rd lane
Northbound:
- Along EDSA between Temple Drive to United Street, Mandaluyong City
- Along C.P. Garcia Avenue, Quezon City, 3rd lane
Westbound:
- Along Congressional Avenue from April Street to Ayshire, 1st lane
The reblocking will last until last until 5 a.m. Monday.
The MMDA advised motorists to avoid the affected areas and use alternate routes instead.
